InSpectres: Final Words chapter illustration
Final Words, in this case, "Here boy!" For this whole InSpectres project, I decided to set a rule for myself that I'd only work with solid blacks and whites, with no shading or cross-hatching or gray tones. This proved to be more challenging than I'd expected, because I wanted to achieve a really dark feel for most of the drawings, and that's hard to do when you're forced to show so much solid white. I used heavy shadows wherever possible, but still ended up keeping lots of light areas.
