Western Balkans — August 2006 I spent most of August 2006 traveling around in the Balkans. The chronology of these photos is a little weird; I started in Sarajevo, then traveled down through Bosnia, into Croatia, then down along the coast into Montenegro, and eventually wound my way all the way back up to Sarajevo again; my Sarajevo galleries are the bookends of this trip. This entire region has some of the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen and some of the best food I've ever eaten. I hope to spend a lot more time in those countries and see (and eat) a lot more.
