Tami and I visited Berlin in September of 2005. It was just like everyone told us it would be—half gorgeous historic old stuff, and half shiny new modern stuff. You know, because we dropped bombs on half of their beautiful old stuff a while back. Oops! Anyway, it was amazing to walk around and take in the contrasts of old and new, East and West, pre-bombing and post-bombing, pre-communism and post-communism, etc. I had some camera problems while we were there, but here are some of the shots I managed to get.
