... A really spooky cemetery! After I checked into the hostel, I went back outside to stand around and take in the silence and creepiness. This place was terrifying at night. You know, before I came to Romania, I told myself over and over that the Western, Hollywood image of Transylvania is (of course) just based on a few old stories and myths and the actual place can't REALLY be scary like that. I wanted it to be creepy, but I wouldn't let myself get my hopes up. But anyway, time and time again I was surpised to see that sometimes the place really is as spooky as you could possibly imagine it to be.
