Here are some of the web design and web development projects I've worked on for various clients, as well as some of my own personal projects. The sites are arranged into two categories: websites that I designed and built myself, and sites where I acted as the lead developer but the initial designs were done by someone else. Web design and development projects

These are sites I designed and built entirely myself from start to finish.

	Josh Berk, Writer I designed and built this site from scratch for young adult fiction writer Josh Berk. We'd discussed an old-fashioned pulp feel for the site, like an old detective novel, and I decided to try to achieve a design that evoked both the noir detective vibe as well as the image of a writer toiling away at his desk.
	Aaron Cromie, Design and Performance This design was nice and challenging. The client wanted a clean, professional, blocky design, when the style of the photos originally made me want to lean toward curves and interesting textures and organic shapes. I'm really pleased with the combination. I did all the design, code, and Flash animation myself.
	Caribou and You This was a rare job for me in that I was hired as the lead designer but not as a developer, so the design is by me and then the site was coded in-house. It was a fun challenge to design a conservationist-oriented site aimed at a generally younger audience. I love projects where I feel like I'm helping to do actual good in the world.
	Melancholy Kitties This was one of my favorite sites to work on. I did all the design and the original development myself. The site has since been taken over by another developer, so some of the original functionality is no longer in place.
	Persail — l’Apadana de Persépolis For this French archeology site about ancient Persia, I did all of the graphic design myself under the direction of the art director, and then I did all of the development.
	Kevin L. O'Mara Photography I created this austere, scalable website for photographer Kevin O'Mara. It was designed with a combination of php and javascript to be updated by the webmaster with minimal coding. I did all the design and the original code myself.
	MoveToParis! This is a custom template I designed for a LiveJournal community that's been extremely helpful in my moving to France and getting settled here. I did all the design and built the layout using LiveJournal's weird proprietary code.
	Selikoff & Cohen, PA I designed and built this site for this Pennsylvania lawfirm from top to bottom; graphic design, html, css, and php.
	Flashpoint Theatre Company I designed and built the website and html e-mail newsletter for this Philadelphia-based theater company.
	Brienne Joubert Photography I designed and built this photography site. The interface is put together with lots of css and server side includes so that the asp files themselves are very brief and simple, and adding new content involves minimal coding.
	FACC Philadelphia The Philadelphia chapter of the French-American Chamber of Commerce required a scalable website with a simple template that could support their many different kinds of content and be easily updated. I did all the design and the original development myself.
	Gianna's Grille I designed and built this small website for my favorite vegetarian pizza place in Philadelphia. My favorite part is the little animated globe in the corner; you can see a bigger version in my Flash gallery.

Web development projects

These are sites for which I was the lead developer and did all the graphics production. For all of these projects I was furnished with one or two Photoshop mockups of the website, and then I built out the whole site from the ground up.

	Jersey Battered Women's Service Inc. I wrote all the front-end html and css, and did all the graphics production for this site.
	New Jersey Lottery I created all the front-end html and css templates for this site, and did all the graphics production.
	Teale-Edwards Productions I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. Part of this job involved converting the whole site from php to asp.
	Faslodex I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. This is a completely tableless website; the layout is supported exclusively by divs.
	Altace I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. This is a completely tableless website; the layout is supported exclusively by divs.
	Matthew C. Sasso I wrote all the front-end html, css, and javascript for this site, including some tricky juggling of layers in the gallery section.
	Bicillin L-A and Bicillin C-R I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. This is a completely tableless website; the layout is supported exclusively by divs.
	Avinza I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. This is a completely tableless website; the layout is supported exclusively by divs.
	Crestor — Healthcare Professionals site I wrote all the front-end html, asp, css, and javascript, and did all graphics production for this site. The project called for asp server-side includes, pop-up windows, exit alerts, embedded video, js image randomization, extensive code commenting, etc.
	Arimidex I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site. I also built the Flash menus for the homepage and the three main segments of the site.
	GetBCFacts.com I wrote all the front-end html, asp, css, and js, and did all the graphics production for this site. I also built the animated Flash intros for the various segments of the site.
	Niaspan I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site.
	Advicor I wrote all the front-end html, asp, and css, and did all the graphics production for this site.
	Ethicon Endo-Surgery I wrote all the front-end code and did all graphics production for this site. The html was written for a jsp environment, using jsp includes and if/then statements, javascript rollovers and popups, and a jsp random image feature on the home page.
	ePharmaceuticals I co-designed the graphical interface and did all graphics production and front-end code (html and some asp and vb script) for this entire site, as well as its sister site, ePharm5.
	CES Early Options I did all the graphics production for this site, coded the front-end html and javascript for the online asp-driven version, and also created an entirely flat, hard-coded CD-ROM version for a direct mail campaign.
